Cameras and Photos
I have decided to get serious about photography again. I have a dSLR, but I have now purchased a Canon Powershot S90. The S90 is an advanced pocket-size point and shoot camera. It will physically be easier for me to work with and that means I'll be taking more pictures. That's a good thing.

For the past month I had been considering selling my dSLR camera. I even put it on craigslist.org. In the end, I couldn’t go through with it. I turned down a lot of offers. I think that I really didn’t want to sell it.
The plan had been to sell and buy a shiny new Canon S90 PowerShot which presumably would have been easier to handle (mostly) one-handed. I still may get the S90, but I want to keep the SLR. It’s a great camera, and I’m in love with my 50mm lens.
Anyway, this babble is just to share that I’m happy and that I will be taking real pictures again. Here’s my favorite from yesterday…

I’m not doing so well at posting my daily happy thoughts, am I? Here goes for today…I have this wonderful friend, who was on vacation in paradise this week. (Okay, it was Florida, but to us in the Midwest buried in snow, Florida is damn close to paradise.) She lovingly shared a bit of the good weather and beach view with me via SMS and it made my day.I also changed my computer’s background wallpaper to a special sandy picture instead of the frosty view out my window.
